Westwood reinstates Hakata direct port call service

Westwood Shipping Lines is pleased to announce the reinstatement of a Hakata direct call on the Service 2 port rotation for both Eastbound imports from Japan and Westbound exports from North America. Hakata direct service will be available starting with the Etoile 029W/E.

This additional call will provide the only direct connection between Hakata and the Pacific Northwest ports in Everett, Seattle, and Vancouver-Fraser Surrey Docks.

The Service 2 rotation is as follows:

Busan – Hakata – Osaka – Nagoya – Shimizu – Tokyo - Yokohama - Everett – Seattle – Vancouver – Tomakomai - Busan

The addition of Hakata will offer an alternative transpacific option to support the region’s manufacturing industry. Westwood’s direct call service is beneficial for products requiring direct routing to avoid transshipment in another port.
