Swire Shipping Lines is providing advance notice of an import documentation fee effective November 15, 2024, applicable to all Eastbound cargoes from Korea to the U.S. and Canada. This change applies to all commodities moving under contract and tariff rates and is based on the date of cargo receipt at B/L origin.

The following charges will be assessed on all containerized cargo delivered to consignee at destination ports and points or origin CY in Korea and must be prepaid prior to issuance of bills of lading.

Points or origin CY in Korea and must be prepaid prior to issuance of bills of lading.

The applicable charge must be shown on bills of lading. Subject to prior mutual agreement between shipper and consignee, the terminal handling charge may be paid on a collect basis in U.S. dollars, subject to the prevailing exchange rate at time of sailing.

NOTE: PC20 and PC40 applies to standard, hicube, tank, open-top, flatrack or non-operating reefer containers

EXCEPTION: The terminal handling charge will not apply to cargo originating outside the United States or Canada and/or transshipped to a final destination in a country other than Korea. A certification of such transshipment must appear on each relevant bill of lading.
