Canada Wildfire Impacts

Dear Valued Customer:

We regret to notify you that the recent wildfires in central B.C. have heavily impacted terminal and rail operations in and out of Vancouver.

Westwood remains in close contact with both rail suppliers, Centerm and Fraser Surrey terminals, as well as monitoring all communication from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) and the Chamber of Shipping (COS).

At this time, Westwood will not be able to accept port of discharge diversions or provide rail carrier alternatives for cargo discharging in Vancouver, BC.

We are committed to working with all parties involved to mitigate cargo delays that will result from the wildfires.

• CP rail line has been cleared and approved for operation with limited speed and train length.
• CN mainline is still not operational, however crew is on the ground accessing the situation.
• VFPA notes due to disrupted rail services, demand for large vessel anchorages currently exceeds capacity.

Our Sales and Customer Service Team will be in contact with you to provide additional information as to your respective shipments. While our thoughts are with those impacted by the devastation from the wildfires. Westwood apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate event.
