NOTICE OF FORCE MAJEURE – TRUCK STRIKE

Dear Valued Customer,

On September 8th, 2015 CTAO members discontinued providing delivery/driver services per the published advanced strike notice on September 4th, 2015.

While Westwood Shipping Lines will do its best to minimize the disruption that this causes to our service, please be advised that this labor disturbance constitutes an event of Force Majeure under our tariff, service agreements, bills of lading and waybills.

Westwood will continue to conduct its operations as efficiently as reasonably possible under the present circumstances. During this indefinite strike action in Ontario and through the cleanup process once an agreement is reached, all rail demurrage and associated additional charges will be for the account of the cargo. This affects all shipments, both door and CY, for import and export cargo.
